Opening my package, I could already tell it was going to be something just by the weight. The pen itself is very sturdy-feeling from the brass. It doesn't feel too smooth or too rough when holding and writing with it. The clip is stiff but not so stuff it's hard to put it in a pocket. The click mechanism is very smooth and not loud. It writes very well with the included Fisher refill. For EDC, this can definitely be used for self defense or pain compliance. There's no worry that this would fall apart in those situations. I did add a very small amount of blue thread lock to the screw-in tip just in case even though it doesn't seem to need it. The pen definitely does not have a tactical look, which should allow you to have it on you all but the most strict places. A winner if you're looking for a writing instrument that's also part of your EDC carry. Recommended.
