To prevent the tip from vibrating loose, we've engineered the tip of the pen as left threaded. Just remember when changing the ink cartridge that the pen's tip goes righty-loosey.

My wife and I both have an operator. They’re amazingly well built. I do have to be careful to make sure the cap is screwed on tightly. The pen once slipped out of the cap while I had it on the collar of my tshirt. Fortunately my daughter found it. We love our pens.
